Check charge before the emergency
Lithium packs slowly lose charge in storage and may power internal electronics. Inspect the state of charge on a regular schedule and before long trips. Recharge using the supplied or approved charger, then confirm the indicators show readiness.
Avoid extreme vehicle temperatures
Parked vehicles become very hot in sun and very cold in winter. Both conditions can reduce performance and accelerate battery aging. Follow the pack's storage-temperature range; if the vehicle regularly exceeds it, store the pack elsewhere and bring it for trips.
Inspect the complete kit
Look for a swollen case, cracks, damaged cable insulation, contaminated clamps or loose connectors. Stop using a damaged or unusually hot pack. Keep the connector capped and prevent metal objects from bridging the clamps.
Use the exact connection sequence
Turn off loads, identify the approved jump points and verify polarity. Many smart clamps will not energize until they detect a valid connection. Override or boost modes can bypass protections and should be used only when the manual explicitly describes the condition and the operator understands the risk.
After a successful start
Disconnect in the specified order, keep cables away from moving and hot parts, and recharge the pack after it cools if required. A jump start does not diagnose the vehicle; repeated failure needs battery and charging-system service.
