FlexGrills.com is operated by the maker of Slot Grill. That creates an obvious question: why would a company that sells a grill build a website that also sends shoppers to competing products and other outdoor cooking equipment?
The answer is simple. Portable grills, rocket stoves, fire pits and related outdoor cooking products can look similar at first glance while differing substantially in weight, steel thickness, packed size, fuel type, accessories, price and design. We would rather put those differences in one place and let shoppers make an informed decision.
That can mean somebody else gets the sale
A useful comparison is only useful if a shopper is allowed to decide that another product fits better. If somebody wants a lighter product, a different material, a lower price, a particular fire-pit configuration, a rocket stove or another feature that a competing product offers, that information should be visible. Sometimes that may translate into a sale for another company instead of Slot Grill. We are comfortable with that.
Why more U.S. manufacturers belong here
There are U.S. fabricators and outdoor-equipment companies making useful products that shoppers may never discover through a normal search. A comparison site can give those companies additional exposure while giving shoppers more legitimate choices. Counterfeit and seller-authenticity screening
We make reasonable efforts to verify that a listing points to a legitimate business and an authentic seller before it is added. That includes reviewing the source domain, the company identity presented on the site, the direct checkout path and whether the product information appears consistent with the seller claiming to offer it. We may decline, pause or remove a listing when the seller identity, product ownership or transaction path cannot be reasonably verified.
Our automated refresh system does not discover and automatically add new sellers. New products must first be placed into a reviewed source registry with an approved source domain. The refresh system checks only those approved sources and rejects a source if it redirects to an unapproved host.
No screening process is perfect. Fraudulent sites, copied product images and impersonation sites can change quickly. A listing on FlexGrills.com should not be treated as a guarantee against fraud, and shoppers should still verify anything that appears unusual before purchasing.
Performance complaints matter
We also want to know about credible problems involving companies listed here. Repeated reports involving non-delivery, materially inaccurate product representation or other serious fulfillment issues may trigger a review and can result in a product or seller being removed from the comparison. A formal reporting workflow is planned as the site develops.
Transparency is the point
The goal is not to pretend FlexGrills.com has no relationship with Slot Grill. The goal is to disclose that relationship clearly, show where the comparison data came from, keep the transaction links visible, refresh approved public-source information on a schedule and give shoppers enough information to make their own decision.
