Privacy-minimized measurement is active by default.
FlexGrills passively measures how its comparison tools are used. A random first-party browser identifier may be stored in this browser so aggregate reports can estimate how many distinct browsers visited the site. It is not an account, name, email address or verified identity.

What passive measurement includes
Privacy boundaries and accuracy limits
- A random first-party browser identifier may persist in local browser storage and is cryptographically transformed before database storage.
- The identifier estimates distinct browsers, not guaranteed unique people. One person using multiple devices, browsers, private/incognito sessions or cleared browser storage may be counted more than once.
- Multiple people sharing the same browser may be counted as one browser.
- Raw IP addresses are not retained in the analytics database.
- Referrers are reduced to hostnames; full referring URLs and their query strings are not retained. Some browsers, apps and privacy tools suppress referrer information, which can appear as Direct / unknown.
- Payment-card information, passwords, private messages and third-party checkout contents are not collected.
- Raw activity events are retained for no more than 395 days under the current configuration.
How aggregated information may be used
FlexGrills may use aggregated activity to improve its comparisons, prepare market-interest summaries and evaluate which products, categories and published specifications visitors find useful. Reports should state their sample size and distinguish observed facts from interpretations or hypotheses.
FlexGrills does not represent an estimated browser count as a verified count of individual people, and it does not represent an outbound click as a completed purchase.
