Flex Grills · How our comparisons work

How Flex Grills works

A source-backed comparison system built around first-party data, automated monitoring, AI-assisted review and conservative publication rules.

System overview

Built to compare products without guessing.

Flex Grills is developed and maintained with a combination of human oversight, custom automation and AI-assisted research. The system takes factual information published by manufacturers and brands, organizes it into category-specific fields and presents those facts in a consistent side-by-side format.

Known product sources are rechecked on a schedule. Repeated failures can move a listing into quarantine, quarantined sources are monitored for recovery, and a separate manufacturer-discovery process periodically looks for newly released models. Newly discovered products remain private candidates until they pass the same source, identity, availability, duplicate, checkout and model-classification rules used for existing listings.

Automation and AI can find, normalize, compare, flag and recheck information. They are not allowed to turn an unverified manufacturer claim, customer comment, newly discovered URL or reputation allegation directly into a public fact.

Flex Grills is operated by Precision Cut Metals LLC, the company behind Slot Grill. Slot Grill is displayed first by default in the Flat-Pack Grills category. Beyond that disclosed placement, the same source, verification, refresh, quarantine and publication rules apply to Slot Grill and competing products alike. Comparison data is based on the first-party manufacturer or brand sources shown with each listing and is refreshed on the displayed schedule.

Platform engineering

The automation itself is continuously tested and refined.

Considerable development time has gone into designing, testing and refining the code that powers these comparisons. The platform is still actively being developed, but its automated systems are already built to handle much more than simply collecting links or copying specifications into a table.

Custom code handles product normalization, category-specific comparison fields, first-party source validation, duplicate detection, scheduled source checks, pricing and availability monitoring, failure analysis, quarantine and recovery, manufacturer-model discovery and publication controls. Automated integrity audits also test the platform itself so changes to the code, data or source-monitoring systems do not silently degrade the accuracy or consistency of the comparisons.

The system is repeatedly tested against real manufacturer websites because real-world product data is rarely perfectly uniform. Manufacturers change page layouts, rename models, introduce variants and bundles, remove products, temporarily block automated requests, publish incomplete specifications and expose pricing in different ways. Those conditions are used to refine how the platform distinguishes a legitimate product change from a temporary website problem or an automated-access issue.

AI-assisted research helps identify, organize and cross-check information, but it operates inside the same source and publication rules as the rest of the platform. Public product data must still pass the required verification checks before it is presented to shoppers.

Data sources

First-party pages are the reference.

Flex Grills organizes factual product information from publicly available manufacturer and brand product pages into a consistent comparison format. Every listed product includes the first-party source page used for its data.

Vendor links take visitors back to the manufacturer or brand so current specifications, price, availability, warranty and purchasing details can be checked at the source.

What we publish

Facts, normalized for comparison.

  • Product and model names needed to identify what is being compared.
  • Factual specifications such as dimensions, weight, capacity, output, materials, fuel type and other category-specific data.
  • Published pricing when it can be identified reliably.
  • A visible first-party data-source link for every listed product.
  • “Not published” when a useful fact cannot be verified instead of guessing.
What we avoid

No product-photo library or copied sales copy.

  • We do not use product photography in the comparison database.
  • We do not reproduce vendor marketing descriptions as our product descriptions.
  • Marketplace-only pages such as Amazon, eBay, Walmart, Etsy, Temu or AliExpress are not accepted as canonical product sources.
  • We do not invent missing specifications or represent estimates as manufacturer-published facts.
Verification & changes

Products change, so the sources are audited repeatedly.

Monitored first-party source pages are checked on a scheduled cycle. The audit looks for inaccessible pages, dead-page responses, unexpected redirects, product-identity changes, purchase-path availability and machine-readable pricing when available.

A single failed automated check does not immediately remove a listing because vendor websites can have temporary outages or block automated requests. Failures are carried forward between checks. After three consecutive failed scheduled checks, the product is removed from the public comparison catalog and archived in quarantine while recovery monitoring continues.

Manufacturer catalogs are also revisited on a slower discovery cycle so newly released models can be identified. Discovery creates a private candidate only; it does not publish a new product automatically.

Feedback & reputation

Feedback can trigger review. It does not become a public verdict.

Flex Grills does not currently publish unmoderated star ratings, anonymous product reviews, public complaint counts or unsupported testimonials. Positive and negative submissions are treated the same way: they can trigger a private review, but they do not become public factual claims merely because somebody submitted them.

Objective corrections should be supported by the first-party product page or other sufficiently reliable evidence before public comparison data changes.

Trademarks & affiliation

Names identify products. They do not imply sponsorship.

Product and company names are used to identify the products being compared. Trademarks remain the property of their respective owners. Inclusion on Flex Grills does not imply sponsorship, endorsement, partnership or affiliation.

Listing approach

Suggestions are welcome. Publication still requires verification.

Visitors and manufacturers can suggest products for inclusion. A suggestion enters the same review process as a product found by automated discovery and does not bypass the listing standards.

Paid or sponsored placement, if introduced later, will be clearly labeled and kept separate from organic comparison ordering.

Important: Flex Grills presents comparison information for convenience. Shoppers should verify any specification that materially affects a purchase directly with the vendor before ordering.
